The future begins now, so the saying goes. In fact, it could be said that it was already there yesterday. For me, time - though elusive and infinite - is always a conscious element of my days. I'll catch it, I think, but then there is always the realisation that I can only adapt to it.
It is sometime in the winter of 2017-2018 when I discover the wonderful works of Andrea Melegh. First only online, on her website, on social media. As if they were all drawn and painted from my soul. Curves bend, colours blur, fairytale shapes, vibrant ripples fill my soul as I watch...
Drawing is all right, but painting... is like "working" in heaven. The silk waiting for the swirl of colours stretches proudly as the paint runs across it, to finally wrap itself around one's neck like a sublime poem.
